Choosing the Correct Hairpiece/Topper for Hair Loss Clients

When choosing the correct topper, it's important for the client to evaluate their hair loss area(s) and how the piece will lie on their head. The clips need be in an area that is strong enough to hold the hairpiece securely, and all hairpieces have clips in different areas. Some hairpieces, such as the Top Secret and Top Style by Jon Renau/Easihair clip just below the crown, others clip near the part.

It's also important to know that the smaller the base of the hairpiece, the less hair the hairpiece will have, and the less the coverage. Some pieces, such as EasiFringe are designed more to add bangs without having to commit to cutting hair, than to cover hair-loss. The base is very small so that it will blend for this purpose, and is not a good choice for covering hair loss unless the hair loss is extremely limited.

This chart will help identify which hairpiece/topper will be best for you, showing the clip locations, along with head placement and base dimensions. If you have any questions, contact us at 1-844-PINKEE2 for support, or write us at [email protected]
